Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Bible Detect is built so that your congregation’s words never leave the building. This policy is short because there is very little to describe.

We collect nothing. Bible Detect has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no server of ours that receives your data. Nothing you say, record, or display is transmitted to us — because there is nowhere for it to go.

Speech and transcripts

Speech recognition runs entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device speech engines. Sermon audio, live transcripts, detected verses, and saved service history are stored only on that device. They are never uploaded, and we have no way to see them.

You can delete any saved session — or all of them — at any time from within the app. Removing the app removes its data with it.

On-device AI

Optional features such as sermon points and story interpretation use Apple’s on-device foundation models, available on recent hardware. These also run entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to any cloud AI service, and nothing from your services is used to train any model.

Microphone access

The app asks for microphone and speech-recognition permission so it can hear what is being preached. Audio is converted to text on the device as it arrives and is not written to disk as a recording. You can revoke permission at any time in system settings; the app simply stops listening.

Network use

The apps make no internet requests. Updates are delivered through the App Store, the same as any other app you install.

Children’s privacy

Bible Detect does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date. The app is free and account-free, so there is no mailing list to notify — the current policy is always the one published here.
