By using Bible Detect you agree to these terms. They are deliberately plain: the app is free, it runs on your device, and it is a tool to serve your service — not a replacement for your own judgment.
The app
Bible Detect listens to a live speaker, detects Bible references and quotations, and displays the corresponding passage. It is provided free of charge for personal, church, and ministry use, with no subscription, in-app purchases, or advertising.
Scripture text
The bundled translations — KJV, WEB, BSB, ASV, BBE, Darby, and YLT — are in the public domain or freely licensed by their publishers, and are reproduced as published.
Verse detection is automated and will sometimes be wrong. Speech recognition can mishear, and quoted wording can match more than one passage. Always confirm the reference before relying on it. Every detection is shown with a confidence indicator, the display can be blanked instantly, and any passage can be shown manually.
AI features
Optional on-device AI features — such as sermon points and story interpretation — produce suggestions, not authoritative results. They are clearly marked as such in the app, are turned off by default on iPhone, and may be mistaken. You are responsible for what you choose to display to an audience.
Acceptable use
Please don’t attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the app or its bundled components, and don’t use it to record people without their knowledge where the law requires their consent.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from its use — including anything displayed, or not displayed, during a live service.
Trademarks and third-party components
NDI® is a registered trademark of Vizrt NDI AB (ndi.video); the NDI runtime is included under the terms of the NDI SDK license. Apple, macOS, and iOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Third-party license texts are included with the app.
